Following the announcement earlier today of the launch date of the Oppo Watch X2, OnePlus has followed suit with its own announcement for the launch date of the OnePlus Watch 3.
While Oppo has set February 20 for the unveiling of the Oppo Watch X2, OnePlus will be unveiling its smartwatch a few days early on February 18. Like its sister company, it has also provided a few details of the upcoming watch as well as official renders.
The OnePlus Watch 3 will be available in Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium, and both will have 22mm quick-release rubber straps. The watch will also have a functional digital crown, titanium bezel, a stainless steel case, and sapphire crystal face.
OnePlus has also revealed a few technical details of the OnePlus Watch 3. First, the OnePlus Watch 3 will have a much bigger battery capacity than its predecessor and in turn better battery life. The new battery has a 631mAh capacity, up from the 500mAh battery of the OnePlus Watch 2. It will also last up to 5 days in smart mode and up to 16 days in power saver mode.
The OnePlus Watch 3 will maintain the dual-processor + dual-OS design of the previous generation. However, while the main chip remains the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, the co-processor is the new BES2800. It has also been reported that the OnePlus Watch 3 will have an optimized antenna
for better power usage.
OnePlus will launch the new smartwatch in Canada, Europe, and North America. There's no info yet on the price but considering the OnePlus Watch 2 cost $299 at launch, the OnePlus Watch 3 should arrive at around the same price.
