Released back in 2021, Little Nightmares II has seen great success as a single-player horror game that involves creepy characters, unique puzzles, and an eerie vibe. Developed by Tarsier Studios and published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, the game has been nominated for over 10 awards and has won two of them. While the next instalment in the series comes out sometime this year, hopefully, Little Nightmares II will give you a taste of the franchise.
Essentially a puzzle-platformer, Little Nightmare II has you play as a boy named Mono, who wakes up in the woods and ends up in a house that is holding captive a girl named Six. They journey together to escape the house and the terrors of the Pale City. The house is filled with creepy adult residents on the lookout for the duo. The experience offers a mix of combat and puzzle solving with challenging levels that require serious thought.
There is also a signal that is luring Mono to the heart of the city and is seemingly controlled by a resident known as the Thin Man. “Mono is the only one who can stop the ominous Thin Man, the Resident who seems to be the source of the Signal luring him into the heart of the city. Find the courage to confront your nightmares and just maybe both Mono and Six can get out of this alive” the description on Steam reads.
The game is not demanding at all and is also verified for the Steam Deck, offering a great handheld experience. Sitting at Very Positive reviews, Little Nightmares II is 67% off which puts the game at $9.89. The Deluxe Edition is also discounted and is going for $13.19. Those looking to play the first part as well can get the bundle for $21.83. The discount is valid till June 16.
